WHAT TO EXPECT AT

THE FORGE: LEMONT QUARRIES

Check out these pre-adventure tips to ensure that you have an exhilarating experience:

SAFETY IS OUR #1 PRIORITY

Face masks, under-helmet head coverings (bandanna or baseball cap), and gloves (full-finger with a reinforced palm to protect your hand against the cables and ropes) are required to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. If you don’t have your own, all items are available for purchase at all check-in locations at the park. Face masks are required throughout the park, and under-helmet head coverings and full-finger gloves are required on activities including the Eight Towers Adventure and Mountain Biking. Please note that face masks, under-helmet head coverings, and gloves are not available to rent or loan.

Per Governor Pritzker's emergency rule adopted by the Illinois Department of Public Health, people over age two who are able to medically tolerate a face covering (a mask or cloth face covering to cover their nose and mouth) are required to use a face covering when in a public place, whether an indoor or outdoor space and they are unable to maintain at least a six-foot social distance. For more information and to review the full emergency rule, please visit the Illinois Department of Public Health website.

COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS

If you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days prior to your adventure, you will need to reschedule your reservation, per our COVID-19 policy. Check out this video for more information on what to expect while we operate under our COVID-19 Operations.

EVERYONE LOVES PERSONAL SPACE

We are implementing recommended social distancing measures at the park so please do not congregate in groups. Please remember to space yourself out while waiting in any potential lines you might encounter. The recommendation is eight to ten feet - or the length of a kayak!

CHECK-IN & GET GOING

The fastest way to get your adventure started is to make sure your waivers are signed before arrival. All waivers must be signed and submitted prior to arrival at the park. Guests can check-in at any one of our 4 check-in stations at the park, located at Digital Activities, the Mountain Biking Pump Track, Paddlesports, and the Eight Towers Adventure.

TIMING IS EVERYTHING

Because we are currently operating under our COVID-19 policies, guests are required to arrive within 10 minutes of their reservation. If you are late for your reservation, we will change your adventure time to the next available time slot.

PREPARE YOURSELF

We strive to make your experience at The Forge: Lemont Quarries not only exhilarating but safe. Before your adventure starts, you will be required to participate in a safety training and gear tutorial. Be ready and attentive when the safety training starts! Please note that the check-in process, orientation, briefing, and practice run can take up to 45 minutes to complete.

DRESS TO IMPRESS

Part of having the best adventure possible is making sure you’re wearing the right clothing. Close-toed shoes, fitted clothing, and full-length shirts (no crop tops or sports bras permitted) will help you have a safe and comfortable experience. Please note that due to our COVID-19 policies, face masks are required at all times within the park. Additionally, under-helmet head coverings (bandanna or baseball cap) and full-finger gloves (with a reinforced palm to protect your hand against the cables and ropes) are required to enjoy the activities at The Forge: Lemont Quarries.

ENERGIZE EFFECTIVELY

Prior to your visit, make sure you eat a healthy meal. Our activities will make you burn a lot of calories, so ensure you’re well-hydrated. Don’t feel like cooking? Visit The Foundry, our grab & go facility! We have plenty of great food to fuel you before and after your adventure. Please note that outside food & beverage is prohibited at The Mount, Lower Quarry Shelf, and The Foundry. Coolers are prohibited throughout the park.

HYDRATION STATIONS

You’ll need to drink plenty of water before, during and after your time on our activities so make sure to bring a water bottle and refill frequently at our water stations located around the park. You can also purchase a refillable water bottle at The Foundry. Not sure where the water stations are located? Just ask a member of the staff and they’ll point you in the right direction.

WE ARE CASHLESS

Due to our COVID-19 policies, we are a cashless operation. We are currently accepting credit card swipe & chip pay, as well as debit cards.

CUE THE QUEUE

Although we try to keep all lines and wait times to a minimum, please expect to occasionally experience queuing at some activities. While waiting in any potential lines, please also respect peoples space and our social distancing policies.

SO MUCH TO DO, SO LITTLE TIME

To say there is a lot to experience at The Forge: Lemont Quarries would be a severe understatement. You could spend days tackling the Eight Towers Adventure alone - and we hope you do! Not to mention Bouldering, Mountain Biking, Paddlesports, Digital Activities... That said, even though we hope you spend the entire day with us, experiencing endless exhilaration and enjoying all the wonderful outdoor activities that the park has to offer, please know that we cannot guarantee guests will be able to get to every attraction at the park with your reservation, especially the Twilight Pass which is available for purchase four hours before the park closes. If you don’t get to experience everything, don’t worry. We’re open year-round!

We can't wait to see you soon at

The Forge: Lemont Quarries!
