Adventure knows no bounds when it comes to outdoor fun at The Forge: Lemont Quarries. Rain, shine, or snow, you can enjoy outdoor recreation all-year-round at the park. But now that the sun is out, the birds are singing, and we’re shaking off our winter-sleepiness, it’s time to spring into all the awesome activations we have coming up!
Tips for a Fun Spring Adventure
Whether you hunkered down this winter or were outside playing, it’s important to remember that the spring sun is different than the winter one. Be sure to apply sunscreen as you adventure outdoors to keep your skin safe from UV rays. We have cool hats you can buy online and have shipped right to your door, but sunglasses also help protect your eyes from the sun’s glare! Adventure safely, Forge Fam!
St. Patrick’s Weekend Celebration
March 19th through March 21st is our St. Patrick’s Weekend Celebration. All weekend long we’ll have live Irish music from the Stockyard Kilty Band and Irish Music School of Chicago. Enjoy the sounds of Ireland while sipping on your favorite Irish beverages. Be sure to grab your fellow leprechauns and practice your Irish jig. The party will be at The Foundry - see you there!
While our special March 19th Forgefire Adventure Dining menu is sold out, we still have Forgefire Globe Dining spots available March 20th and 21st - be sure to book your Globe and enjoy a chef-curated meal, including a Tipsy Topped Cake! (Chocolate mint cake with handmade Irish Cream ice cream… yeah, you don’t want to miss this.)
And if you’re looking for a true leprechaun adventure, test your puzzle-solving skills with our St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt. Liam the leprechaun has been living at The Forge: Lemont Quarries since the late 1840s. He hid his legendary treasure here and kept it safe for over 170 years. A few days ago, a bunch of goblins found its secret location and stole it! Help Liam the Leprechaun retrieve his gold through a digitally enhanced scavenger hunt! Solve puzzles, answer riddles, and save Liam’s treasure from those nasty goblins before time runs out!
