Outside Event Sales Representative
Lemont, IL Part-Time
The Forge: Lemont Quarries is seeking Outside Event Sales Representatives to assist our business in securing customers and increasing sales by booking large events such as corporate outings, government agencies, non-profit organizations, school groups, and more!
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. The Outside Sales Representative will also monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to use those markets to expand revenue.
This is a part-time position with the potential for a full-time position down the line
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The outside sales representative develops, implements, and continually evaluates the sales and outbound strategy for assigned areas, with short- and long-term goals that support the mission of Lemont Quarries Adventure Park.
Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Create and build relationships with businesses and organizations in the Chicagoland area and beyond
Prospecting sales and turning the prospects into potential leads for The Forge: Lemont Quarries
Following through with the sales processes from the initial point of contact to the end stage of booking and follow-up post-event
Work with specialty groups to ensure their needs are met
Answer basic questions regarding the operation of the park
Act as an ambassador of The Forge, informing guests not only about the adventure and entertainment experiences but also of the nature surrounding them once onsite
Any additional duties as needed
Ability to work a rotating schedule
Some evenings and weekends required
