Food & Beverage Host

We are looking to grow our amazing team of adventure enthusiasts! The Food & Beverage Host is an entry-level position with room for immediate advancement into more senior roles.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, the outdoors, recreation and loves working with people. In this role, you will be directly responsible for amazing guest experiences. A positive attitude, willingness to work hard and learn are a must!

This is a part-time position.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Food & Beverage (F&B) Host is on the front line of the guest experience. Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Assisting guests as they check-out, utilizing our point-of-sale system for both retail and F&B offerings

  • Serve as event host during birthday parties and group outings

  • Communicate with guests and staff in a professional and friendly manner that instills trust, support, and creates an incredible experience

  • Act as an ambassador of The Forge, informing guests not only about the food and beverage offerings but also of the park activities

  • Having a sense of pride and ownership of your space and being a leader of peers and guests alike

  • Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the food and beverage facility & roving refuel cart

  • Ensure proper preparation and presentation of all F&B offerings

  • Assist in all safety, sanitation, food storage, and alcohol consumption policies

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Great with people and passionate about working in the hospitality industry

  • Be in good physical condition in order to handle the daily job duties

  • Confident and comfortable working with guests and colleagues of all backgrounds

  • Background, experience, or active interest in the hospitality industry

  • Super-freakin-awesome communication skills. Seriously, you must possess the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to pitch in at all levels, there is no room for a “not my job” attitude

  • Ability to easily adapt to changing needs and requirements

  • Availability to work on nights and weekends

  • Must be at least 21 years old at the time training commences

PHYSICAL AND SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

  • Because our park is located in a natural, outdoor, wooded location, candidates must be comfortable and willing to work in all seasonal outdoor weather conditions as operational duties may require

  • You must be comfortable and willing to climb as necessary

  • You need to be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds

  • Ability to obtain Food Handling and BASSET certifications
