Hey Parents! Your 10-14 year old will have a blast attending the summer Quarry Camp at The Forge: Lemont Quarries. Our camps are designed to support personal growth with a variety of fun, safe, educational, recreational, and group activities. All the fun is outdoors at our adventure park in Lemont.

Camp Details

Full day camp from 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday
Available weekly from June 13-17th to August 1st-5th
Camp will only run 4 days the week of 4th of July and will be pro-rated at checkout.

Our themed camp weeks ensure every camper stays energized and interested! Each week provides further focus on skills such as team building, leadership, self-esteem, and character. Your child will learn something new and make unique connections with special guests.

Requirements

For ropes course and zipline activities campers must meet the following requirements:
Minimum weight: 70 lbs-250 lbs
Minimum height: 52” - 6’6”

Is there a camp for younger kids?

Yes! Visit the Adventurers Summer Camp for kids 7-9 years.

How much does camp cost?

The Explorers Camp for kids ages 10-14 costs $425 per week for daily camp Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.

Can my children who are 2 years apart be in the same camp group?

We make every effort to honor requests, but cannot guarantee them.
Camp is an awesome place to meet new friends and do some self discovery.
Campers in the 7-9 years of age group follow a different schedule than the campers in the 10-14 years of age group.
Siblings in these different age groups will not be in the same group due to their different activity schedules.

Who is facilitating the Summer Quarry Camps?

Quarry Camp is designed and created by educators with a combined 30+years of experience working in camps, schools, and community programming.
Led by our Educational Program Director and Camp Coordinator, extensive hiring efforts are underway to find mature, creative, and AWESOME college and high school camp counselors.
All counselors will be trained in CPR and Basic First Aid along with The Forge Adventure Guides and staff, and have a deep commitment to creating the safest camp environment possible.
Counselors will also go through extensive training in activities, inclusion, diversity, and much more to ensure the best camp experience for all campers.
Awesome college & high school camp counselors who are 16+ years in age will be engaging and facilitating the campers each week.
Counselors who are under 18 will not be Lead Group Camp Counselors for our campers who are in the 10-14 age range.

Are phones and electronic devices allowed at camp?

Yes, but they must be in a backpack during activities. There will be plenty of time at lunch, during freetime, and Exploration for pictures and capturing memories!

Will my child need money?

You will receive more details regarding camp lunches in the Parent Welcome letter closer to the beginning of camp.
Quarry lunch will consist of a sandwich, 2 snacks and a water bottle. A delicious meal with just the right amount of nutrition and energy to set your camper up for the rest of the day!

Does my child need to bring a bike?

Campers must bring their own bikes if they want to utilize the Pump & Skills track.
Trail bikes will be provided for campers for trail rides, but they cannot be used on the Pump & Skills Track.

Will masks be required for participation?

At the present moment, masks are not required for participation. The Forge adheres to the CDCs's guidelines and will follow their protocols accordingly.
